I have a great deal of experience training fellow employees and have devised the system of show them once, let them do it once while talking them through it, and then let them do it once without assistance. This system also translates to teaching. The last step is the most important; it forces the student to think for him or herself and instills confidence that the problem is not beyond his or her level of understanding. It is very important to teach students how to figure things out for themselves – probably the most important lesson I learned at UVa. If a child knows how to utilize resources such as the textbook, example problems, and the internet, then he or she will be able to work independently through a tough problem.

I graduated from Liberty University in May 2009 with a BS in Accounting. I am currently and have been a substitute teacher in Bedford County for the 2009-2010 school year. I have substituted for grades 6-12. I have been a football coach at Liberty High School for 3 years and I have been a track & field coach at Liberty High School for 5 years.
