A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently an undergrad in computer science. I have finished all of my necessary programing classes and am proficient in multiple languages. I do some game development in my free time, so programming is part of my everyday life. If you are interested in any languages i do not have listed i would be happy to learn them before tutoring begins.
Hands on, and flexible. I will usually go over what your instructor has covered, followed by questions. Then we can do any practice deemed necessary based off of what you are expected to know for your next class.

I was a dedicated student throughout high school and college. I earned my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. I know work as a systems engineer performing mission analysis on guidance, navigation, and control aspects of rocket systems. I also mentor a FIRST robotics high school team. I believe that a big part of teaching is listening and observing. Not every student learns the same way, so it is important to be patient and try to understand what works best for the student. In many cases, examples are helpful in learning. Examples that are tailored to a specific student (e.g. drawing correlations to cooking for measurements, or sports for averages) can be a great basis for understanding concepts. I have done classroom teaching and one-on-one teaching. I prefer the one-on-one approach because it is so effective, and so satisfying for myself and the student when progress is made.
