My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : I can problem solve and work with the student, many different ways, until we come up with a strategy that "clicks" with them.

Obtuse; willing to think outside of the box to get the student interested, even, excited to learn.
I have tutored fellow classmates in HS. I've taught my nieces and nephew to understand and love mathematics, as well as respect science, which is really just the real-world application of mathematics. I can explain many abstract topics in tangible ways. I love when I see that twinkle in someone's eye when something clicks and they grab onto the topic they once didn't comprehend.

I love young people and I am very passionate about education. I was asked to teach French for seven summers for students who had failed during the school year. One year they were short a sophomore French teacher and I did that every morning before work. I then realized I had a passion for teaching language.
When I was teaching the children of Saint Anthony, I made sure that my classes were well prepared. We reviewed their homework, and I encouraged and motivated them, always.
