I am a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of accounting and finance experience. Although I have no formal teaching degree, I feel that I would be an excellent tutor. First, I have successfully trained many employees over the years. Second, my two sons, ages 21 and 19 graduated numbers 2 and 1 in their high school classes, respectively. Now, both are "straight A" students at the University of Tennessee. Here, I feel that I have lead by example. I thoroughly enjoy teaching students at various ages and stages of development. I consider myself to be very creative, and I try to give the students as much hands-on experience as possible. I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless. I believe that one should teach using a variety of methods because all kids do not learn the same way and each individual method shows something new each time. As the Head Trainer for Order Entry and Customer Service for ten years at J Crew I taught detailed customer service training for new hires. I also implemented and taught the Train the Trainer Program within the Lynchburg, VA Region 2000 community. I created a Remedial Training Program to raise skill levels among associates and taught Telephone Etiquette and motivational training. I also revised the Order Entry Manual to be used for all new hires. I have been told I have a three dimensional style of training.
