A Little Bit About Me...

Over 10 years of piano teaching experience, with 6 years at a reputable Atlanta private school. I have maintained a studio of 20-60 private students, with students performing in two recitals each year. Students have ranged in age from preschool to senior citizen. As a music therapist, I am also familiar with many developmental disabilities and special needs, and have taught students with ADD/ADHD, Autism, and Asperger's Syndrome.

More About This Tutor...

I can teach with a classical, contemporary, or sacred emphasis. My style puts a focus on theory and technique, which are important foundations for becoming an outstanding pianist. My desire is to not only teach piano but to also instill a passion for music within my students.
I have played piano as long as I can remember. I took lessons from Rachel Daugherty in elementary school. I took lessons from Lauren Mann in middle school. I took lessons from Louise Barfield my Freshman and Sophomore years in high school. I currently take lessons from Tom Rule. I have been the pianist at my church for almost three years. I have won awards at Literary Competitions for playing the piano. I have accompanied the chorus at my school.
