?I have played the Guitar for over 45 years. Although there was a time I did not play For several years During the first years of marriage. Graduated from high school. I took some lessons at the age of 13 then taught myself how to play the guitar on my own by just Listening to a song ,or chord progressions or a lead . My comments on tutoring Guitar : I have been playing for half my life. Feel confident in teaching the basics.

I currently have no experience as a tutor. I am a English major and honors student at Georgia Perimeter college and will likely go into teaching when I graduate because I have a passion for teaching. I have childcare experience as well as management experience that included training employees which is a form of teaching. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is one that includes both work and fun. I expect my students to practice regularly and advance in learning. However, I also like to incorporate fun into work. My students tell me why they want to learn and get to pick out songs that they want to learn and I will teach the songs to them. If I don't know the song, I take the time to learn it, so that they can enjoy learning. I am a laid back instructor who while I do expect improvement want my students to enjoy music and enjoy making music.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been playing stringed instruments for 23 years. My main area of focus is the guitar, and I have toured the country playing in groups. I enjoy teaching and have done so for years privately. I currently have students via Skype and have been chosen to teach on the Cayamo singer/songwriter cruise in 2011 after a successful workshop series I had on this year's cruise that featured many of my heroes. My degree in Recording Arts came in handy when I lived in Nashville from 97-2002 where I did session work and recorded with groups in some of the finest studios in the world.
