A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style starts usually with a question to spark and interest, or perhaps another question. I idenify with the audience and that is extremely helpful. I am patient and enjoy when a student finds confidence by learning something new. I use some props and examples to aid a particular subject, and I speak English very well so there is no miscommunication.
I am interested in working again as a Mathematics Tutor, I've had a very enriching previous experience from former employers at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I've obtained two degrees, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S.B.A. in Economics. I love education and working along with others. I'm very passionate in continually cultivating myself and growing, in fact, my last employer hired me to teach English in Taiwan! Three teachers impacted my life not only as a result of the content of their classes but in their delivery. All three approached learning as an adventure. Even though the topics ranged from sixth grade mathematics to fluid dynamics each teacher keyed their presentation on the reception of the students. If the first presentation didn’t get the topic across an alternative presentation was made, often in a humorous vein. Students were never allowed to feel inadequate. Many of the students I trained were sent by their employers. So often, the student’s frame of mind wasn’t the most open to the learning experience.
