Humorous experienced tutor with unconventional methods!

I am a seasoned veteran tutor, and I enjoy, no love, mentoring, teaching, volunteering, training, or instructing almost as a hobby! I am especially passionate about career education and counseling as well as psychology and mathematics. Oooh and English too! I enjoy playing guitar and writing, also playing and instructing playing soccer.
My approach is a little different using humor to destress students. I believe in each student understanding the underlying concepts via instruction, physical materials and hands-on activities. I have a lot of patience. I love working with different and even difficult and shy students.

I hold M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. I have 10+ years of experience in design and devloping state-of-the-art microprocessors working for Intel, the worlds largest chipmaker. I have pioneered in engineering excellence with path breaking research and development work at Intel. During my Bachelors & Masters, I have worked as Teaching Assistant for various subjects in Mathematics, Physics & Electrical Engineering. I currently do evening tutoring in Mathematics and Physics for Bachelors students. Working at Intel, i have taught various classes on Engineering technologies and cross trained a diverse mix of Intel employees.

I find that teaching works best if you tailor the material to your audience - i.e. you don't want to lose them OR bore them. Use what they know as a foundation to build on to teach new concepts. If material is difficult or unfamiliar to your class it's important to be prepared in advance with several approaches to get the material across. Review material periodically to reinforce confidence in the students and always make sure they have a firm grasp on material before moving on.
I'm a certified Air Force Instructor with two years of experience as a Unit Training Manager. I have 3 years of experience teaching adults how to build computers and install/configure operating systems and applications.
