My comments on tutoring Math : Through Middle School level

I love to incorporate art and sensory experiences into everything I do to really activate the brain. The "Drill and Kill" is very rarely appropriate, so I tailor every approach individually. What works for one student may not work with another. My formal training includes many intervention types and experience with multiple programs and curricula, so I have a large pool from which to draw...then we get creative! Math is one of my top subjects! I consider this to be elementary mathematics. I worked with elementary students last year that were gifted in math and the parents and students were extremely satisfied. However, most elementary students will benefit from having more manipulatives than I currently have. My comments on tutoring Math : Know all kinds of Math, have tutored students for years as a free lance tutor and working for a tutoring company in classroom.

Have tutored for five years with Wyzant, Tutoring Center of Herndon and on my own. My main concern is too make sure student is confortable in his/her understanding the subject material. The money part of the education of young people is really not a priority per se unless the individual student gets an understanding and hopefully confidence in taking on the subject at hand I tutor mainly in Math (Algebra, Geometry and Trig, but also Accounting,social studies, Finance, English , Reading Comp, Vocabulary
