I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and have worked extensively with and for children including a Case Manager at Clay County Behavioral. I have always wanted to be a teacher so earned my Teaching Certification through St. John's River Community College in ESE and Pre-K through 3rd Grade. Honors High School Graduate with experience in teaching

My lessons can range from private lessons to group lessons of no more than five at one time. I prefer to be very involved in my students' progress, and will readily explain any questions that they do not understand. My main strategy is basically to lay out the concepts that will be covered that day, go over several practice problems, and give three or four practice problems for the students to work on independently. For art students, I will demonstrate with explanation the concept that we will be covering in that lesson (be it portraiture basics or still life basics), draw diagrams with the steps clearly labeled, and have the student independently work on a similar piece which applies the same concepts. I will supervise the student's progress and correct any lasting errors, but I prefer to have the students produce an almost entirely independently produced piece each session.

My comments on tutoring Painting : understand the founding principles of design and color theory

All my years of high school I was involved in Art. I was member of the Art Club, Digital Graphics club, and Animation program. I'm currently a Sophomore at The Art Institute of Jacksonville majoring in Graphic Design. I've done freelance work for many clients one being MPI(Meeting Professionals International).
I love what I do, I enjoy every minute of it. In order to design something great one must be inspired even from the smallest things around us. My teaching Style is very visual. My comments on tutoring Painting : I would be comfortable working with students using acrylic or tempera paint.

I have tutored a wide variety students on many subjects. I am most experienced tutoring high school students for the SAT. I worked with Let's Get Ready, a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing high school students for the SAT and their college search process.
