I can impart the love of design, what greater gift is there?

I'm an easy going teacher, software and design requires patience in both the student and teacher. It is a show and tell, where you will be explaining yourself repeatedly. I feel the best teachers, show the student what they expect, and have the student both verbally and by demonstration show they understand the processes. If they can't verbally walk me through it, it hasn't sunk in and they won't be able to repeat the lesson when I'm not around. I don't want that, I'm paid to make sure that isn't the case.

Art & Design are not about software but skills

I was taught by professionals, the teachers I had were drill sergants installing skills through repetition. I work much the same way. The lessons I create are going to repeat form and function, proportion, typography and layout, pre production planning as well as the subject matter. You have to learn to walk before you get to the Olympics. This helps refresh people looking for that, and instilling the skills and understanding of the time it will take you to get to where you want with your skills. Creative Arts is one of my top subjects! I enjoy working with children and young adults to experience the creative process. I am certified in the creative arts and like to explore expression using different artistic mediums.

I worked for an organization called AS220. It is an arts organization with a youth program that works inside the juvenile detention facility and also has a community program for youth in group homes and recently released from prison. My first position was incorporated art into the curriculum of classrooms in the juvenile detention facility to enhance the learning experience of the students by making it hands-on.
