Great lessons made fun!

I lived in Brazil and taught English to Brazilians. I also taught Portuguese to Americans who were living in Brazil. When I moved back to the US, I started teaching English to Brazilians and to Spanish speakers. I was certified buy two different schools in Brazil and a course taken and passed in Miami, FL.
I use common phrases to start and then continue with common verbs and increase the vocabulary with common everyday words. I use my fun, outgoing personality to make sure that the lessons are not only fun but also stick in he mind for maximum retention of each lesson.

Speaking is one of my top subjects! I won the statewide 4H public speaking contest at a younger age than anyone else up until that time. I was the youngest member of the Florida House in 1978--1982. I have spent most of the last 20 years as a talk radio host.

I consider it my duty to do what it takes to make the tutoring FUN for the person being tutored.
I have helped friends (and their children) to prepare for exams since when in high school I won various awards for my performance on exams. I won the top score for the Regents exam for Duval County in 1971 and for this I was recognized by the downtown Rotary Club. Also I won the top statewide scholarship award for the Chamber of Commerce and for the N.H.S. due to performance on exams. Also I won the Merit Scholarship award. I have only recently started to do tutoring for pay. I keep learning fun and interesting!

I am a recent college graduate working full time. I have quite a lot of tutoring experience assisting other college students pass rigorous business courses. I also have a five year old little brother who I have been tutoring in reading and writing since he turned three. He is already reading at 2nd grade level at five years old.
