Mechanical Engineering Tutors & Teachers for Lessons, Instruction or Help in Felton, CA

I am a practicing engineer on my way to a career change to the education field. I have been volunteering in high schools, tutoring, and attending teaching instruction workshops over the last several years. This fall (2010) I will begin teaching credential studies at either St. Mary's University (Moraga)or Santa Clara University (Santa Clara). My subject areas are to be, initially at least, math and physics. I taught some math lessons this spring at a San Jose High School and have been tutoring in calculus and statistics to high school students. I have an assignment to complete over the summer regarding a teaching commitment I made at a recent teaching 'camp' I attended in southern California. As a graduate, I've been very blessed to have received a degree in Business Communication. In college I learned how to become a better educator, and communicate with them on the highest level. Although, I tutor in all of the academic areas, I also enjoy helping my student appreciate the art of becoming a good writer, and thinkers. My students are also encouraged to read for relaxation, and entertainment. Making the education process fun is also an asset. UCLA provided me the occasion to experience a diverse, driven, and excellent learning environment, where I obtained a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics, which allows me to expand my knowledge in math and science. In addition, I also was an exchange student in University of Hong Kong, and joined a summer session in Nagoya University in Japan.
