Mechanical Engineering Tutors & Teachers for Lessons, Instruction or Help in Davenport, CA

I am a practicing engineer on my way to a career change to the education field. I have been volunteering in high schools, tutoring, and attending teaching instruction workshops over the last several years. This fall (2010) I will begin teaching credential studies at either St. Mary's University (Moraga)or Santa Clara University (Santa Clara). My subject areas are to be, initially at least, math and physics. I taught some math lessons this spring at a San Jose High School and have been tutoring in calculus and statistics to high school students. I have an assignment to complete over the summer regarding a teaching commitment I made at a recent teaching 'camp' I attended in southern California. As a graduate, I've been very blessed to have received a degree in Business Communication. In college I learned how to become a better educator, and communicate with them on the highest level. Although, I tutor in all of the academic areas, I also enjoy helping my student appreciate the art of becoming a good writer, and thinkers. My students are also encouraged to read for relaxation, and entertainment. Making the education process fun is also an asset. I enjoy the rewarding pleasures of teaching. I believe that all students have the potentials to be successful in their course, as long as they find themselves in a comfortable and functional learning system. It is true that such ideal system is different for each student, and sometime it is difficult to achieve it. But I enjoy the challenge to develop a unique study plan for each individual student and help him or her achieve success in the course.
