My comments on tutoring MCAT : I only have experience tutoring for the physical foundations section.

I received my Bachelor of Science from Western Washington University and my Master of Science from the University of Oregon, both in chemistry. After graduation, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a synthetic chemist before starting a PhD program. While I ultimately decided not to complete my doctorate, I did discover I had quite a passion for teaching chemistry. I then started teaching test prep courses and tutoring students, and later I started teaching general and organic chemistry as an adjunct professor in the Seattle Colleges District which I have been doing for the past 3 years.
Tutoring especially appeals to me because breakthrough moments don’t always occur while class is in session. A Little Bit About Me...

As a mom, I've learned to be patient and easy going. As a teacher, I try to find the best approach for individual students. Some of them need more guided practice and examples, while some benefit from independent work. My pace and level of difficulty in teaching will be determined by the student background and potential and it usually goes from slow/easy to harder/faster.
I've been teaching most of my life, first as a rank one student to my classmates and friends and later as a physics and math instructor. As the middle child in the family, I was very competitive among my siblings. I was very much driven to achieve goals that I set for myself. I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BA in Theater Art and a BS in Biology, which have enabled me to gain an understanding in various ways areas of science and math.
