I am the mother of 3 children, two with college degrees and one currently in college. I was very involved throughout my children's school years, volunteering in the classroom, tutoring, etc. I have also tutored privately since my children left school. Prior to having children, I was a Systems Analyst for Servistar Corporation, and returned as a consultant for them for three years betweent my first and second children.
While I am not a teacher by profession, I have successfully tutored a variety of leraners in a variety of subjects, primarily math, english, science. I enjoy working with people and helping them learn in ways that reach them and help them gain understanding and ultimately success. I Have been a teacher since 2002. I have had various experience in teaching students diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, OCD, PDD, ODD, as well as other learning, social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. I have also had experience tutoring students from grades one to ten. I have had to plan and implement individual education plans as well as independent lessons for various students. I have worked with children from all types of schools including inner city and charter schools.
