My experience in the field of teaching includes a few things. I have experience in the classroom via student teaching, and what they all "practicum" during my last year of college. During these classes, I attended 2nd and 5th grades of two different schools. Also, after college, I was a substitute teacher for a year in which I found myself in a wide variety of grade levels.

I have helped tutor many young students through the Pirate 21 program at my school (Berea Community) and can help with a wide range of academic and extra curricular needs, such as vocal training or a drama couch, as well as a core content tutor. I love to see children florish academically and have the little A-HA moments that makes all their hard work worth while. I am currently a college sophomore working as a Calculus TA, I'm double majoring in Chemistry and Physics.I am a native Chinese speaker, I have experience teaching students Chinese. I like science and math. I scored 89 on TOEFL, I scored 29 in the writing section. I scored 1850 on SAT, with 700 on math. My science GPA currently is 3.5, I took general chemistry, modern biology, organic chemistry I (currently taking orgo II), physics in math methods and quantum chemistry. I am a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky University. I would really love to tutor in ASL since it is my minor and I love the language. I have taken up to 201 but I have many deaf friends who have taught me more then a class ever could. I am only experienced in tutoring my sisters but I think it would be a really fun job to teach someone else the language I love.

I have a lot of experience in teaching and tutoring. I have tutored for about 10 years now, starting with my fellow classmates while still in school and now tutoring one-on-one, mostly for elementary-aged children. I also teach - I conduct a teenage choir, taught at a Ukrainian school for 7 years (grammar, writing, reading, vocabulary), and give individual piano lessons.
