Since graduating from college, I have pursued further education through supplemental education. While working, I have attended classes in the evenings to keep current with teaching trends, practical classroom skills and the social-emotional needs of children in learning. For 8 years, I was an instructional assistant, but also substituted and served as an after school tutor. For the past 5 years, I have been a pre-school teacher with Migrant Head Start. I enjoy helping others understand statistical concepts as well as how they can be applied. I think it is important to have a great deal of patience when teaching and to always make it fun when possible. Also, I find it useful to remember that I was once learning statistics and remember the great skill of my professors and how integrative and exciting they made the process. I have taken on part of their approaches and try to use interesting examples in order to make learning statistics something to be excited for.
