A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring subject listed on my resume for about 11 years. Currently, I tutor 1) primary grade children in language arts, 2) one adult in computer programming skills (algorithms, MS SQL Server 2008, Java), and 3) through a couple of tutoring companies. I conduct tutoring in groups, one-on-one, in-school, and in-home. My education in geophysics and geology have provided me an intensive and extensive understand of several areas of applied mathematics, physics, and chemistry, all subjects which I have tutored and/or taught in the community college setting.

My entire life has been surrounded by both music and technology and I'm looking to share that with my students. In terms of musical instruction, though the particular curriculum I use varies from student from student, I am a firm believer in first connecting to music they already know and using that as a starting point to get them invested in the music.
