As both a math student and tutor, I believe the most effective approach to learning is for the tutor to act as a guide, allowing the students to make the important connections. I am very patient and have good communication skills.
I am a senior at Reed College studying mathematics. While at Reed I have worked as both a grader and a tutor. I started out as a student tutor in the early 90's in California. I finished my MA in mathematics in 2000 at Cal State Sacramento. A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my education, I've found that broad academic interests have led me to pursue a wide range of subjects simultaneously. My undergraduate degree is a double major in music and comparative religion, and my other coursework ranged from astronomy to constitutional law. I recognize with gratitude the manifold opportunities that were available to me, but the most important piece was taking ownership of my own education.
