I beleive that patience and kindness are a key factor of working with students. As students are attempting to master content that is difficult, the teacher should demonstrate encouragement and patience. I also believe students learn in different manners. Therefore, if a student is not comprehending the information in the traditional manner, then a different approach is necessary.

As a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University in General Science Physics, I have completed extensive coursework in the areas of math, science, and engineering. I am looking to obatin an accelerated teaching certificate and I believe this would be a good start for me. I have completed coursework in upper level biology and physics as well as general chemistry. I have completed math through calculus II. A Little Bit About Me...

Being in college for four years exposed me to social environments that I normally wouldn't have been able to encounter on a day to day basis. Whether I was learning on my own, working with or helping fellow classmates, or even just observing how the professors worked with us, I was always learing new concepts or methods of how to interact with a wide variety of characteristics in a diverse group of people. I had access to 2 long-term teaching positions. The first was for high school special education in history and the second was for 8th grade language arts.
