My comments on tutoring Literature : I prep students for the AP English literature exam. All of my students achieved a score of 5 when they received their scores earlier this month.

I am a tutor and test prep coach. I am KY and TN state certified in middle school math. I prepare students for the ACT and Praxis core and content exams, including the Praxis core (math, reading, and writing), Praxis 5018 (elementary education content knowledge), Praxis 5169 (middle school math), and Praxis 5001 (elementary education multiple subjects). My comments on tutoring Literature : Having been interested in books all my life, I have experience seeing beyond the writing in literature to pick out the themes and motifs. I understand that characters and settings can symbolize more than one idea, I have experience noticing foreshadowing, allusions, etc.

I have experience in all things English. From the time I was in high school, I knew I wanted to focus on this subject in my studies in college. I received a BA in English and am currently earning my Masters in Secondary Education to be an English teacher. My interest in English goes beyond the classroom. I have always been an avid reader and writer, pointing out themes and connecting stories to real life. Since graduating college, not only have I gone back to school to be a teacher, but I have also written articles and edited for websites, blogs, and newspapers. i believe English is as important as any other subject in school. You must have English in order to know how to read and write. Having proficiency in reading and writing is also a step for you to gain your dream job. I'm here to help with that.

I have always possessed a love of helping others to learn. It brings me great joy to witness when an individual grasps a concept which they have been having difficulty with. I tend to use a demonstrator style of teaching by first working through a problem slowly while asking the student questions to ensure that they understand what I am doing. Then I help them work through similar problems while providing help until they fully grasp a concept.
I have earned both an AS in Science and Mathematics as well as completed all requirements for my BA in business administration with a concentration in accounting. I have twenty-nine years of experience in teaching middle and high school students. I have taught high school English, Bible, history, and speech/drama; and middle school English, Bible, science, history, speech/drama, and math through Pre-Algebra.
