Math tutor

I have tutored many people of various ages, past students have been as young as 5 and as old as 17. I am 18 years old but am highly skilled in the area of mathematics having taken 8 math classes above Algebra 1. I like to teach and I also like to hear how people learn. I like to relate the subject matter to something that the student enjoys so it is easier for them to grasp. I do try to get students to make discoveries for themselves so that they retain the information longer. I try to instill a sense of passion with my work and I encourage learning beyond the accepted minimum. Based on my age I may seem inexperienced but I assure you that my skills are plentiful and I can rise to any needs.
I try to adapt my style to the needs of the student so I can teach in many different ways.

As an online graduate at Kaplan University, I quickly became aware of my priorities. Students seeking help often emailed other classmates for assistance. I was often told there were very few students who responded to their emails; however, I was one of them. I earned my Associate degree through Allegany College of Maryland. I enjoyed this area of study so much that I decided to transfer to Kaplan University Online and continue my study in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting. I attended graduation in Chicago, IL, where I learned no matter what obstacles in life you face you can continue your education if your mind is set to do it. While in high school, I was a certified adult literacy tutor. Since I've had children, I have been an active volunteer in their classes - preschool through elementary school. I hold a BS from PSU in Finance with a minor in Economics. I earned my MBA while working full time in less than 2 years.
