I have many ways of teaching. I like to make the experience rewarding, fun and educational. As I continue to work with others I find their strengths and weaknesses and do the best I can to make the experience fun and as stress free as possible. I know that it can be tough learning new subjects, however, if you put your mind to it, there is always a way. I use games, activities and also outside projects to learn as much as possible. I am 23 years old and strive for excellence constantly. I currently have two jobs and a child. I work hard for my family and make sure that I do my best in everything that is put in front of me. After graduating with an Early Childhood/Elementary degree, I took the 3-6 year old Montessori training. I began teaching in a private Montessori school for 5 years. I then worked part time in various positions including substituting for 10 years while my daughters were in school. I was the Director of a Head Start daycare in the inner city which serviced many refugees. For the last 3 years I have taught 2nd grade in a typically hispanic school in the inner city. I enjoy every aspect of teaching. I began in 1987 as a teacher's aide in Georgia. I was later able to return to college to complete my degree in Elementary Education. I have worked as a preschool teacher, elementary teacher, middle school and high school teacher, and I have tutored in Reading, Math, and Science. Much of my methods are based on what I have experienced through the years. I am currently a junior at Rockhurst University studying children's speech therapy, and I have 2 years experience teaching English as a second language in Thailand.
