I tend to use an interactive style of teaching. I involve the student by asking questions and using illustrations because I believe it's more important for the student to understand why an answer is correct than to get the correct answer. I tend to focus on principles that can be applied in specific situations and then provide practice exercises to use the principles. I work with patience, but over a reasonable amount of time, constantly using the wrong tense will earn students a demerit on the class "OOP's" chart. This is a "fun" classroom tool but soon they begin to correct themselves and each other.
