I like the tutoring environment because I like seeing individual progress. It is easier to assess where the child is. I believe that the basics are essential to moving forward in education. Memorization of math facts makes it easier for a child to learn new material because he isn't bogged down. I don't believe enough emphasis is placed on arithmetic in today's schools. Basic arithmetic skills make story problems easier. Types of story problems need to be practiced, not just thrown in at the end of a chapter without much information on how to do it. I am patient and punctual. I like being with students.

I have worked in the electrical industry for the past seven years, with a two year hiatus to serve as a teaching missionay in Guatemala. I have a passion for learning, such that I earned my BS in Business Management in only three years of study at the Univeristy of Utah. Through my years of schooling, I have gain masterful skills in both English and Math, due to the many papers and courses I have taken in these fields of study. Due to my many courses in Management and years as a manager trainee, I understand how to motivate people in any circumstance. Also, because of my missionary work, I speak fluent Spanish and have taught people of all age groups and maturity levels.
