I achieved my BS in 3.5 years with certifications in Kindergarten and English for secondary education. I have employed multiple skills to teach many disciplines to students. My interest in Science and Technology encouraged not only students to learn, but other teachers to request my expertise. I have tutored many students, generally those needing special services, but I have also created strategies for parents and challenging work for more gifted students.

I am currently a Senior at Bethel College. I will recieve a bachelor's in Psychology at May 1, 2011. I have been tutoring since the summer of 2010. I tutored pre-algebra this summer during my internship at Bashor Children's Home in Goshen Indiana. I am currently tutoring College Pre-Algebra at Bethel College. I have excelled in Written Communications 3, Reseach Methods, College Statistics, and the psychology courses that I have taken. I have also taken 4.5 years of Spanish. I earned my degrees in education from Ball State University. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement, M.A.E. degree, and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education with minors in the following: Learning Disabilities, Mildly Mentally Handicapped, Seriously Emotionally Handicapped. I have taught at the elementary level in both general education classes and special education classes and at the high school level in special education classes.
I enjoy teaching and find it very rewarding. Children are our heritage. Children have an innate desire to learn and I believe that with proper guidance, each child can be successful. I endeavor to determine what the child is interested in learning and build from there. Education is a very high priority in our family and we encourage others to further their education, whether it involves college or study on one's own, in order to better themselves.
I began homeschooling my children in 1993. My older son was in 8th grade, my younger son was in 4th grade, my oldest daughter was in Kindergarten, and my twin daughters were 2 years old.
