I have been a sign language instructor for the past 10 years. I have been teaching sign langauge level 1 and 2 for Orange County Community College for fours years and also have been teaching sign language level 1, 2 and 3 for a private high school in Poughkeepsie, NY for the past two years. I have over ten years of experience teaching ASL in several continuing adult education courses.

I am also involved with an all sign language church (no voicing), that has a number of deaf members, with which I interact weekly.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the State University of New York at SUNY New Paltz and I have matriculated into the Master of Arts in Biology program at the same university. As a result of my many research and laboratory reports I have excellent writing and typing skills and have completed many writing assignments including numerous essays in various fields as a requirement of completing my Bachelor of Science degree. Upon my decision to return to college and obtain my BS degree, it was discovered that I possessed an uncanny, natural talent involving all aspects of the studies surrounding English. Reading, comprehension, symbolism, poetry, creative writing, poise, maturitym ,ect. After that placement exam, it was decided that I did not have to take any English courses, or, I would take more advanced courses. I did choose the latter. Throughout the last 10 years, I have helped my husband, brother, all of my children, etc. I have tutored them on how to write a well developed paper on their topic of choice, and have it read showing the expertise of the writer.
