More About This Tutor...

I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. My goal is to provide the best education possible and to suceed in that is to have great communication and alittle fun doing the work that is expected.
I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life. I too was tutored going through school and not just once. I attended Sylvin Learning Center every other year since sixth grade. It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that information accessibility should be emphasized and placed in bold. I would consider my style personable, compassionate, and driven to excel. I like to bring humor and discussion into the arena. If it's just me talking, how does it benefit the student if they do not feel they have the ability to rebut or 'think out loud?' New ideas and processes of interpretation are enabled in both the student and the teacher through a live and ever-changing dialogue. I realize that in the 'classroom proper' not everyone will have the 'eureka' experience. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching, especially elementary school. My experience in recent years has been mostly preschool or special education. I believe in letting children explore their world and learn through discovery. I believe any child can learn if he/she wants to and with a little extra help, all children can achieve their potential.
I have taught 14 years teaching in public school system, mostly elementary school. I have taught 5 years in preschool or Montessori preschool. I have experience teaching 2 years in a doctor's office (Vision therapy)I have kept children in my home (home day care) for over 5 years. I worked in a hospital setting for 5 years, clerical work.
