I am a senior in high school. I have taken a range of different classes and I am able to help students understand what is being taught. I helped many of my friends get better grades so that can graduate with a better GPA. I have never really solo tutored anyone but I feel that I will be able to help in some sort of way. I must admit that my experience with teaching is limited, however I love to sit down with groups of children and help them to discover new concepts and ways to learn the subject matter. I did my internship at Springville High School and Dixon Middle School. At Dixon I was selected to help teach adults about the computer. I have 9 children. I was able to teach each of them. It is easier to assess where the child is. I believe that the basics are essential to moving forward in education. I believe that children all come with different levels of cognition. Therefore, each child has their own learning pace. I like to give a child the time that he needs in order to accomplish his goal in learning. I have patience and am understanding--this would be a great benefit in working with children who need a little extra help in their studies. I recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Human Development. However, before Human Development was my major, it was English Language.
