While studying to obtain my two bachelor degrees, a BS in Biomedical Science and a BA in Chemistry, I have had many opportunities to develop my leadership, interpersonal, and tutoring skills. I was involved in several organizations at Texas A&M University that incorporated tutoring experiences and also worked for the university tutoring student-athletes. During the last 4-5 years, I have mentored/tutored younger students in math and reading, and have tutored college students in chemistry and biochemistry. I love biology. You will too. My students will become experts in their fields, but they are not there yet. It is not my style to throw them in the deep end and hope they can hear me yelling commands. I enjoy a very interactive learning approach. I tend to use hands on and visual learning techniques. I am patient and children are my joy to work with.
