While studying to obtain my two bachelor degrees, a BS in Biomedical Science and a BA in Chemistry, I have had many opportunities to develop my leadership, interpersonal, and tutoring skills. I was involved in several organizations at Texas A&M University that incorporated tutoring experiences and also worked for the university tutoring student-athletes. During the last 4-5 years, I have mentored/tutored younger students in math and reading, and have tutored college students in chemistry and biochemistry. During the attainment of my undergraduate degree, I conducted research under my professor, Dr. Greg Powell. Throughout the research, I gathered many skills one being creative in learning, as well as, presenting new material and teaching it to fellow peers and professors. I have also worked as a teacher’s assistant, running a chemistry lab of about - five students. I enjoy a very interactive learning approach. I tend to use hands on and visual learning techniques.
