I went to public schools in East Detroit, Michigan. In eighth grade I set a personal goal to attend the University of Michigan. I never had private tutors. My strongest subject is math. I believe that all children all capable of learning and that each one learns in their own way. The basis behind successful teaching is to find what motivates them and relate that to the subject. I'm a patient teacher but I also believe in being a challenging teacher. Setting the bar high and providing assistance along the way is how I excelled in school and I believe it can be used for other children as well.
As a graduate of Tennessee State University, I've been very driven to consistently purse excellence education. I ranked in the top 10% of my class upon graduation and during my tenure I worked within the schools substitute teaching programs.
