I like to approach tutoring on an individual basis. I like to learn what works best for each student and help them understand a subject in the way which best suits them. I believe that anyone is capable of learning anything if it is explained to them in the right way. For the past 30 years, I have worked with special needs students. I believe that students learn at their educational level. The problem with education today, is that students are often in classrooms that stress learning at their frustration level. Many students are in general ed settings, but are forced to use materials that they do not fully understand. In my role as a teacher consultant, I adapted materials so the students could understand it. If chosen as a tutor, I would do the same so the students would learn at their education level.

I enjoy interacting and teaching others through interactive discussions, presentations, and hands-on exercises. I have worked with many people from various academic and cultural backgrounds during my academic and professional career, and can adapt to training individuals with a variable learning preference. I mostly have experience in lecture format, open discussion, and hands-on applications. Much of my work with others involved showing how to perform a physical act, such as a laboratory experiment, however, I supplemented the examples with details focusing on theory.
