My comments on tutoring Drawing : BFA in Drawing/Painting

My experience with teaching and helping students involve my working as a art club teacher in an after school program. I worked for this program for about 2 years with students in second and third grade. In the class I taught I would encourage my students to try new things and to use their imagination. We did a variety of assignments including drawing, beading, needle work, various arts and crafts projects. This was a great experience for me and made me look forward to teaching more in the future. I have done commissioned work doing murals for a vineyard on their property for advertisement purposes. I also have a degree in Fine Arts with specialties in drawing and painting.

My teaching style is very distinctive to the students learning needs. I believe that the educator is a facilitator of the information and must be able to differentiate the instruction to the needs of the learner. I also believe that the educator must provide meaningful instruction and assessments to show the student their growth and gains throughout the teaching. As a graduate from University of Idaho, I was very much driven to reach a higher level of excellence in education, leadership, and support of my peers.
