My comments on tutoring Drawing : BFA in Drawing/Painting

My experience with teaching and helping students involve my working as a art club teacher in an after school program. I worked for this program for about 2 years with students in second and third grade. In the class I taught I would encourage my students to try new things and to use their imagination. We did a variety of assignments including drawing, beading, needle work, various arts and crafts projects. This was a great experience for me and made me look forward to teaching more in the future. I have done commissioned work doing murals for a vineyard on their property for advertisement purposes. I also have a degree in Fine Arts with specialties in drawing and painting.

I have earned a bachelor of science degree in General Science, which means I have a very good understanding of many topics including: Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computers, and Arts. I have experience in being a leader of 10-16 people in the military as an officer. I enjoyed teaching people of their oppurtunities in furthering their education. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated with a 3.9 from Whitworth College in 1979. I taught a 1st/2nd grade class for three years. My teaching certificate is not current. I home schooled my 4 children- the oldest through 8th grade. My second son had a learning disability. I spent many hours researching the best methods of teaching him to read. He made the deans list his first quarter in college! I recently taught adults how to do enumeration for the 2010 Census Bureau. I lead a club for middle school students.
