My comments on tutoring Spanish : Communication Based teaching strategies. I had been teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language for the last 8 years, the first four in a middle school and the last four in a high School.Certify with the State of Texas in 2010 as Spanish Teacher and recently graduate of a dual master program in Linguistic Applied and Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I had been teaching Spanish for the last 8 years, but the last four are very successful. The results amazed my college students who are also Spanish speakers, but not graduate from HS. My Spanish learners have all different background indians, asians, anglosajones, afro american, persians, etc, but all of them have one thing in common: to learn Spanish as a second or third language. Communicative Approach is my favorite method because is based on the idea that learning language successfully comes through having to communicate real meaning.
