I have been teaching students for the past twelve years. I taught in the field of Special Education with students in grades 1-5 for eight years. I received my Masters Degree in reading and ESL and now I teach ESL to students in 1st and 2nd grades. I also tutor students of all grades at Sylvan Learning Center in the areas of reading, writing, and math. I have also tutored students at Cardinal Stritch University in reading. I believe the best way for students to learn is by doing and discovering the material hands on as oppose to being lectured to. I like to instruct demonstrate the learning material to my students intially, but after that i prefer to have my students try the material themselves so they can see and understand what aspects of the material they dont understand.
