My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am not a native Spanish speaker, but I have been learning the language for many years, and I have a minor in it. I can help most with grammar, vocabulary,and reading.

I graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in English Literary and Cultural Studies and a minor in Spanish. I have taught ESL conversation classes for almost three years now, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (also at OU). I have helped many people with over 100 essays, and I worked as a Writing Assistant in the OU Honors College Writing Center for one year, helping students in a wide variety of classes to improve not only their individual essays but also their overall writing abilities. Spanish is one of my top subjects! I am continuously complimented on my Spanish skills by people with Spanish as their first language. I learned Spanish through living with a family of Mexican heritage, through my personal relationships in our local Hispanic community, 3 years of High School Spanish, working at The Latino Community Development Center, and several trips to Mexico. I have been told that I have teaching techniques for difficult Spanish pronunciations, that help the student pronunciations Spanish vocabulary with greater ease.

My experience of learning Spanish as a language began at the age of 9. Spanish is one of my top subjects!

Throw out my high school year I was in a program called “Learn and Serve”. This program consisted of going to the closest elementary school for an hour a day and be a teachers aid. Therefor, I help any student who was having difficulties. In some cases would even help teach a lesson if the only adult in the room was a sub teacher.
I find diffrent ways to help children understand what they are learning in a fun way.

A Little Bit About Me...

While studying at the University of Oklahoma, I became interested in tutoring and helping those less fortunate. I began tutoring at a program called Tuesday Tutors which provides free-of-charge tutoring to all students Junior High level and above (although we often helped out Elementary students who stopped by). I also became active in ESL/Literacy tutoring. I tutored ESL for 7 months prior to graduating. I have now graduated with three Bachelor degrees and am now seeking a Master's in Philosophy.
