It definitely is important to combine styles. I use direct instruction, as well as guided instruction, and groupwork. Teacher, Tutor, and Coach

I have taught for four years from Kindergarten to Third Grade. I was responsible for teaching math, reading, english language arts, social studies, science, phonics, and handwriting. A Little Bit About Me...

As a tutor, my job is to take students from where they are to where they need to be. I can do this successfully for several reasons. First, I am patient. Often student frustration stems from classes proceeding too fast, and teachers lacking time to help slower learners. By patiently working with a student, I can teach at a pace that works best for them, overcoming much discouragement that comes from falling behind. Second, I am very flexible in my teaching methods.
