Throughout my educational years, I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to tutor a variety of students in various fields. As an undergraduate, I tutored other college students in science courses, including biology and chemistry, in a one-on-one or group setting. I am fresh out of college and have much of the information fresh on my mind. I would particularly enjoy working with students in math and science, as I was a biology major with a chemistry minor. I feel like it is important to connect to students on a personal level yet still retain a professional attitude. Children tend to respond to someone who is fun and friendly, instead of a person who chooses not to connect with students in this way. I am very passionate about learning and teaching what I have learned to others. Effective teaching requires clear instructing. I attempt to break each assignment down to its simplest level. Ideas must be transformed into practical, relevant information that enable students to make difficult concepts easy to understand and comprehend.
