Success comes to those who don't give up

I am currently a surgical RN. I have been working in surgery for about 7 yrs. I circulate, scrub, and assist surgeons in surgery. Prior to this I was a neuro trauma nurse for a big trauma hospital in Florida where I dealt with head, back, neck trauma and stroke and seizure patients. My comments on tutoring Anatomy : I would feel quite comfortable tutoring those taking high school Anatomy or Anatomy I (nursing pre-requisite), but not past that level.

I have tutored a wide variety students on many subjects. I am most experienced tutoring high school students for the SAT. I worked with Let's Get Ready, a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing high school students for the SAT and their college search process. I typically tutored students for the Math section, but I am capable of tutoring for the Critical Reading and Writing sections as well. The teaching style I use is completely dependent on the particular student being taught. I'm a big fan of the adage 'Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for the rest of his life'. My objective is to teach a child not only the material, but how they best learn so that they can teach themselves.
