A Little Bit About Me...

I have obtained a bachelor degree in History which has given me the ability to pursue education in the high schools for History. Although I do not hold a teacher license I was given to opportunity to teach using an emergency license. I currently work with homeschool students to progress through their school year in an alternative learning environment.
I enjoy spending time with each student and I try to introduce humor to the subject. I like to teach with hands on approaches and at time lecture to ensure details are met. I feel the students can teach each others and small group settings tend to lead to better educational learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a Bachelor’s in Biology from West Texas A&M University and a Minor in Chemistry and Animal Science. I was home schooled through grade school, and I had to opportunity to help my younger brothers with their studies at home as well. Because my mom was a high school English teacher while I was home schooled, I am strongly educated in English and have had experience writing all types of papers. I graduated with a BS in history in 1996. After nearly seven years working for a large communications corporation I returned to college to get my teaching credentials. I completed a years student teaching and have taught middle school and high school at a local private school. At that school I often tutored students, offered help on my own time, and was the monitor of the school's study hall, Homework Club. Since 2009 I have taught adults at a local technical college. A Little Bit About Me...

I began tutoring in the sixth grade. We did not have honor courses where I attended, so older students tutored younger students. In college I tutored many subjects to earn money for my tuition. After graduating, I worked in two different school systems as a remedial teacher. I even designed a new remedial reading and spelling program for the one school. From 1991-1998, I worked at a Christian elementary school, where I was a librarian, bookkeeper, and substitute teacher. I have also done private tutoring in Spelling, English, Composition, and Computer.
