My comments on tutoring Chinese : I am a Chinese native speaker. I majored in English Language Teaching and taught English for over seven years in China. So, I'm an expert in Chinese language and I can use my native language to teach either English or Chinese.

Chinese is one of my top subjects!

I think we'll watch Chinese TV together and go to some field trips to gain your confidence speaking Chinese to native speakers. And sometimes worksheets for learning Chinese characters/ writing but they'll not be boring. We will also go online learning some phrases people would use online.
No experience teaching Chinese as a FOREIGN language. But I do speak Chinese fluently and be able to communicate in English and Chinese. and I did teach Chinese to people who already SPEAK Chinese. I have learned Chinese for over 10 years and speak Chinese since the day I figured out how to speak. And finding a native speaker who isn't inflexible is the best choice you can make.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy seeing the "A ha" moment that students get when a concept becomes clear to them. I am not a big fan of memorization and have encouraged students to not only understand the concepts, but to also link the concepts together into a big picture understanding. Also, I believe that with hard work everyone can achieve their goals and that everyone has their own pace and capacity for learning.
