I consider myself a very patient tutor, which I think is essential to the process. That said, I usually offer the student a few options in which to learn the material. I then let them decide which option makes the most sense to them. Recently Retired Teacher with 31 Years of Experience

I am a, recently retired teacher as of, June 2013, and have thirty one years of teaching experience, within, a variety of school settings. I am certified in elementary education, grades 1-8, hearing impaired grades k-12, and moderate to severe disabilities. My last position was at a local high school, teaching students with cognitive disabilities. I am well versed in assessment, plethora of teaching methodologies and implementation, computer skills such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been passionate about working with different students and finding their unique learning strategies. I am supportive and very patient, but persistent in the achieving success for the student. My ultimate goal is above teaching subjects. It is to provide the student with a love for learning and the skills needed in tackling academic tasks.
Having graduated with a BS in Mathematics I am now continuing my passion for learning while pursuing a masters degree in Nurse Anesthesia. My liberal arts degree from Hillsdale College has given me extensive work in all areas of learning. In the past eight years I have taught music theory and piano lessons, tutored Junior High School - University students in Mathematics and English, and instructed Halfway House residents in Mathematics, English, and Sciences in pursuit of obtaining a GED.
