After graduating college I taught elementary K-8th grade in NYC. I taught for one year and decided to live Paris, France teaching English. I lived in Paris, France for 1.5 years then moved to Rome, Italy, again teaching English. My experiences were wonderful as I met people who really enjoyed learning English and needed it for work. After 6 months I returned to the states and taught at a Junior High School on the Lower eastside of NYC. I left teaching after 10 years to market computers. I began my teaching career in Cooperstown, NY in 2001, as a mid-career professional in search of a meaningful job. Previously, I worked in the entertainment industry. Over the past year, I have tried to extend my ability to share my love and appreciation of English and literature with others. As an English/Communications major, I am very knowledgable in a variety of subjects including grammar, writing composition and reading comprehension. Last year, as President of the Writers Forum, we spent several months tutoring as part of an after school program where we helped children in Baltimore write.
