During my tenure at Buffalo State College, I volunteered at the Equal Opportunity Program, where my main strength was utilized by actively tutoring students in the art of the english essay. I was able to tutor these students and advise them in the general format of the essay. We began by procurring a general introduction, or a statement of fact,followed by the body of the essay, descriptive references, and tying it all together with a summary that proves the point that you have set out to make. One of my most vivid memories of exercising patience with another person is when my neighbor, Kaitlyn, was learning to read. I use a step-by-step approach starting with what the student knows and connect to everyday life experiences. This approach works particularly well in subjects like physics or chemistry.
