Experience Summary
With a Masters Degree in Education, a Bachelors Degree in French, more then seven years of hands-on teaching experience, I have taught hundreds of students both as a classroom teacher and as a tutor. Through my use of technology with web pages, Powerpoint flashcards and cooperative learning, I have had tremendous success with my students surpassing the mastery levels of both the NYS Regents and the NYS Proficiency exams as well as 100% passing rates on both exams for numerous years. My studies abroad give me an insight into both the culture and language. Having studied four different languages including English, I have an extensive vocabulary and am expert at writing and editing essays and research papers.
Teaching Style
I describe myself as tough but fair and am a firm believer that you get out of life what you put into it. I work hard to insure that my students reach their full potential. I push my students to work to the best of their abilities and teach values and critical thinking skills by creating a fun and competitive environment in which they will feel comfortable and want to learn. I take my job, my career and the education of my students very seriously. I want my students to succeed at a mastery level and will use any teaching methods necessary in order to insure their success. My teaching style varies depending on what works best for each individual student. Activities for teaching vocabulary and culture are endless.
