I have always been an avid reader and writer, as well as a natural teacher. As early as middle school, I was tutoring my fellow classmates at the request of their parents. I studied Latin for five years, which provided an exceptional foundation for the study of English, which I pursued as my major at Loyola University. I concentrated in Creative Writing, so the bulk of my college work consisted of reading and writing to very exacting standards. In 2005, I earned a Master of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida. I have done a lot of research and am proficient in many areas of biology. Conducting research has taught me critical thinking, how to be attentive and organized, and how to develop the grammatical skills to get ideas across to my audience.
