A Little Bit About Me...

Over the last 4-6 years I've had to teach coworkers the intricacies of engine technology (basic hydrocarbon breakdown and nitrogen depleting systems) to basic geometry and electrical circuits ( from creating concentric bends in pipe to large scale automated systems). I have not taught english to an 11th grader in a public school, but I make it a fact to learn everyday and spread the knowledge to whomever i come into contact with and is willing to learn. I have recently been studying and implementing hydrogen generating systems and the effects of injecting it into internal combustion engines.
I believe teaching is best learned though practical examples (especially math). because I used to say the same thing that I'm sure that kids today are saying. I earned a comprehensive biology, chemistry, science degree in secondary edu. I taught 7-12 grade life, earth, physics, ap chemistry, and biology in Alpena, Ar. for almost a year. I was the director of the EncorePlus non-profit breast cancer organization for 3+ years in Little Rock, Ar. I have experience in grant writing and reporting. I taught elderly women how to use the internet.
I try to show students the fun side of learning. In the science field there are so many exciting things to learn and do. I think if children are taught that learning is fun at an early age it makes them more apt to do well throughout their academic career.
